Jory Des Jardins pioneered social marketing as Co-Founder and President of BlogHer, a media marketplace representing thousands of digital influencers, which reached 100 million monthly unique viewers at the time of its successful acquisition by SheKnows Media in late 2014.
As President of BlogHer, she was the primary evangelist of social influence to agencies and brands such as P&G and Coca Cola and she grew strategic partnerships with top advertisers and revenue partners. As an entrepreneur, her passion is scaling companies that serve customer communities, be they digital influencers, content creators, local merchants, or “gig” professionals.
Jory currently advises several burgeoning startups, focusing on companies that are evolving digital influence, social content, and media models, marketplaces and AR/VR/MR. In 2016 she co-founded Virago, an advisory for female founders, and The Scale Collective (TSC), and event joining founders, investors and advisors in service of scaling companies. In 2017 she joined the Board of Advisors for SheWorx, a global organization for female founders that will now produce TSC.
Jory writes and speaks on emerging technologies and media trends, earning the designation as Top Voice in Media in 2016 by LinkedIn and hosting a show in virtual reality, The Virtual Unknown: A show for those who want to love VR.
